Choose What Works For You

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Basic $25

Tier I (Basic): $25.00, one time payment, $40-45/per mo. value

  • This service consists of a conventional family tree, based on your given basic family information - without the muss & fuss of paying for a membership and doing it yourself.

  • You will have full editor access to this tree, regardless of your Ancestry subscription plan - files that are paywalled will be sent to you (and accessible) free of charge.

  • Ancestry normally charges $20-25 dollars per month, packaged in 6 to 12 month bundles - meaning with my plan, you pay a cheap, hassle-free up-front cost instead of a costly renewing subscription.

  • In addition to an ancestry tree, I also offer an optional Family Search tree that you can access with a free account that you can connect and view anytime.

  • This FamilySearch account can also be used with the BYU Relative Finder - a neat tool which shows your connections to celebrities, historical figures, and more!

  • You can also opt to join the Ancestral Archive Anthro project, which shows your connections to other people who I've made genealogies for.

Tier II (Family Finder) $25.00, one time payment, $45 value

  • This unique service brings together your family tree and an Ancestry DNA test in a useful way to help you find relatives and solve family mysteries.

  • In order to employ this service you MUST have completed an Ancestry DNA kit and provide me Collaborator access to be able to assist you with the search process.

  • If you have not already bought the kit, you may forward to me the price of the test (Regularly $100, Sale $40-70), and I will mail it to you to complete and ship to the company.

  • Employing Ancestry's pro tools, which typically run for $45 for 6 months, I will cross-reference the family trees of your DNA matches to narrow down mystery ancestors.

  • I cannot guarantee that I will find particular individuals in every instance, but I have a high success rate in finding previously unknown family connections.

  • In addition, I'm also more than willing to reach out to relatives, get you connected with them, and work with them to iron out details.

Tier III (Legacy Package) $50.00, one time playment

  • This tier is a specialty package which is something you can use as a long-term "legacy" for your family and descendants - or simply for personal use.

  • It includes a Google Earth "Placemark tour" - a virtual tour of burial sites, family homes, and places of origin over the years.

  • It will be color-coded based on which side of the family the places pertain to based on each grandparent they're related through.

  • In addition to taking the time to mark out locations in Google Earth this also comes with a complementary Visual Family Tree poster which goes back 5 full generations.

  • In the future I may be open to making more comprehensive charts, but for now this is what I am comfortable with making at this price point.

Genealogy Disclaimers

  • Genealogy in general is a heavily biased field, and it is most strongly concentrated in the USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, and select other European countries.

  • Hence, I cannot guarantee success for other countries which aren't conventionally covered by census or church data.

  • For the Tier II package, I cannot guarantee that I will find particular persons you're looking for in each case, especially if the individual is several generations removed from you.

  • The FamilySearch platform is a free, open-source tree service, and while it has some developmental checks, may be edited at any given time.

  • In other words, some of the connections listed on the BYU relative finder and the site in general may be unconfirmed, deliberately removed, or incorrect. Take results w/ grain of salt. (The Ancestry tree package I provide to you will not have this problem).

  • There may be some relatives that wish to not be contacted / if you wish to remain anonymous you will have to inform me before asking me to reach out to extended family.

  • Information on living relatives will always be hidden, but most of the time I will require basic information (birthplace, places of death, birthdays and death dates)
